In light of the recent fire disaster in Los Angeles County, the CME committee decided to design part I of a year-long disaster preparedness series to ensure familiarity with effective preparation, response, and measures to ensure quality patient care.

This activity is a recorded version of the live activity and it doesn't allow a live Q&A.  You will be asked to attest to your attendance and expected to complete an evaluation form in order to receive CME credit for your attendance.

NOTE: Learners may not claim CME credit for an Enduring Material if they have claimed CME credit during its live program.

1. Define a disaster.
2. Designate an incident command team for the disaster response.
3. Quickly set up and function in an assigned clinical treatment area.
4. Triage patients to appropriate care teams (i.e., infection control, respiratory management, and psychological support).
